Canon has released it's long awaited 2.0.3 update for the EOS 5D Mark II. It enables 29.97 FPS and 24 FPS (23.976, to be precise) 1080p recording. This had been a long requested feature from the community. A few months back Canon promised to deliver on this request and today they delivered. In addition to these upgrade Canon has also tweaked the VGA mode to a 29.97 frame rate, and PAL mode to 25 FPS and 23.976 FPS as well. Additional tweaks include a manual volume adjustment (Originally a irritating automatic gain), a easier way to access brightness or RGB histogram display, shutter and aperture priority modes have been added for movie shooting, and the audio sampling ramp has been increaded to 48KHz from it's original 44.1KHz. I'll post some comparison videos this weekend.
